متن کاملAdaptivity with moving grids
In this article we describe the basic dynamics of a moving meshes as part of an r-adaptive adaptive method. We firstly examine the possible geometry of a moving mesh and strategies for disretising a partial differential equation on such a mesh. We then look in more detail (with many examples) at strategies for implementing both position based and velocity based moving meshes. We finally look at...
متن کاملA new class of accurate, mesh-free hydrodynamic simulation methods
We present two new Lagrangian methods for hydrodynamics, in a systematic comparison with moving-mesh, smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH), and stationary (non-moving) grid methods. The new methods are designed to simultaneously capture advantages of both SPH and grid-based/adaptive mesh refinement (AMR) schemes. They are based on a kernel discretization of the volume coupled to a high-order m...
متن کاملMoving mesh finite element method for unsteady Navier-Stokes flow
In this paper, we use moving mesh fintie element method based upon 4P1 − P1 element to solve the time-dependent Navier-Stokes equations in 2D. Twolayer nested meshes are used including velocity mesh and pressure mesh, and velocity mesh can be obtained by globally refining pressure mesh. We use hierarchy geometry tree to store the nested meshes. This data structure make convienence for adaptive ...
متن کاملImproving the velocity tracking of cruise control system by using adaptive methods
Accurate and correct performance of controller in cruise control systems is important. Hence, in such systems, controller should optimize itself against noise and probable changes in system dynamic. As a matter of fact, in this article three approaches have been conducted to-ward this purpose: MIT, direct estimation and indirect estimation. These approaches are used as controllers to track refe...
